practice & races
Our NICA season runs from July - November. We typically meet twice a week for skills practices, then head out for an adventure ride on Saturday mornings. Races begin in September, and we will have 5 races throughout the season, concluding with the State Championship in early November.
All students and coaches mush be registered in PitZone to participate, or new riders can come try out a practice with a 1-Day waiver.

skills practice
2025 Practice begins July 7th!
We will have our weekly skills practices on Monday and Wednesday nights from 6:00-7:30 p.m.*

Athletes must bring a helmet, water, and a bike in working order.

Practice locations alternate between Lakeside Park and Saluda Confluence Recreation Area. It is very important to check Team App before each practice to RSVP and to confirm practice location.

*Practice times will shift as the sun begins setting earlier in October.

adventure rides
On Saturday mornings, we get together for our adventure rides. This gives our athletes an opportunity to try out some local trails, have fun, and put their skills work to the test! On our Saturday rides we like to branch out and explore nearby trails like Pleasant Ridge, DuPont, and Stumphouse Tunnel.

As with weekday practices, always check Team App for each ride's details and to RSVP!

race weekends
Races are not mandatory, but are encouraged, and are always a lot of fun! A typical race weekend begins with a Saturday morning course pre-ride, with races spread throughout the day on Sunday. Races take place at different courses around the state, and most of the sites offer on-site camping.

There are many volunteer opportunities for parents and guardians to lend a hand on race weekends - from helping with a team dinner to directing parking at the races. Be on the lookout for ways you can help!
